Directed by Amy Hall
Duck Hunter Shoots Angel is the uproarious story of two bumbling Alabama brothers who have never shot a duck but think they shot an angel. As they lament their fates in a murky swamp, they are chased by a cynical tabloid journalist and his reluctant photographer who refuse to believe any of it until feathers, wings, and a tiara are discovered along the way. The play hysterically interweaves a love story, sibling rivalry, tawdry media, race relations and cultural stereotypes as the chase to find the angel builds to a crescendo in the swamp. Ultimately a sweet allegory about redemption, Duck Hunter has been hailed by audiences as a rare comedy with a surprisingly heartfelt lesson.
The cast includes Andrew Ansolabehere, Matthew Borton, Jennifer Hatzman, Bob Kempf, Bryan Maddern, Jason Monroe, Maurice Pittman, and Natily Ray.
Performances are May 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, and 24 at 8:00PM.

R.A.T. (ROYAL ASSOCIATION OF
THESPIANS)
Dubbed “Raturday Night Live,” this
year’s summer R.A.T. show marks a
decided departure from the regular
format of shows. This show is
guaranteed to be a different experience
than the fans are used to: three of the
scenes are actually songs, and
approximately 1/3 of the show will be
on video.
Comedy is a major focus for R.A.T., as
the intent to offend always comes with
the purpose of making you laugh.
Parodies ranging from “Pulp Fiction” to
“This is Your Life” fill what R.A.T.
likes to call “the best hour you can
get for six dollars.” Be prepared for a
special appearance from an old friend,
who is making his triumphant return
after being mostly left out of a show
that was named for Him!
So make plans this Memorial Day weekend
as the Royal Association of Thespians
return to the stage at The Empty Space
to bring you “Raturday Night Live,” the
video show.
Performances are May 23, 24,
30, and 31 at
11pm.
Tickets are $6, Beers are $1.
