Kristina Saldañ has been the Financial Director of The Empty Space since 2007, directing numerous productions, including The Miracle Worker, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Diary of Anne Frank, Romeo and Juliet, Of Mice and Men, and Hair. He has also acted in numerous productions, including Hamlet, You Can’t Take It With You, Sweet Charity, The Tempest, Cabaret, and Cloud 9. He also is a theatre professor at Bakersfield College and has been part of its Kern Shakespeare Festival since its inception in 1985. At KSF, he has both directed (As You Like It, The Comedy of Errors, Titus Andronicus, Twelfth Night et al) and acted (Dogberry, Friar Lawrence, Sir Toby, Julius Caesar, Falstaff et al). Bob was a professional actor for many years, appearing on TV (Seinfeld, ER, Caroline in the City, Two Guys and a Girl and a Pizza Place, among others), film (Nothing to Lose, The Fan, Josh Kirby - Time Warrior, among others), and in dozens of commercials (American Express, Sega, Pizza Hut, Armor All, Mastercard, Kellogg’s, among others). Bob earned his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from CSU Fresno, and his Master of Fine Arts in Dramatic Art from UC Davis.
