All submissions must meet the following criteria:
*Keep it clean. Please avoid obscene, racist, or sexually-oriented language or images.
*The mural concept, design, and all artwork must be the original work of the participating artist. Copyrighted images, including cartoon characters, clip art and brand references, may not be used.
*There are no limitations on concept, design, or medium as long as the design can be transferred from paper to wall. The artist must be able to reproduce mural on a 5.5 ft by 15 ft wall in 3-5 days.
*Team submissions are accepted.
The deadline for submission is midnight, February 11, 2012
Please email a photo jpeg of your submission to Jesus Fidel at jfidel@rocketmail.com. All submissions need to include artist name, phone number and a brief artist statement.
A winner will be announced on February 18th.
The mural will be displayed at the entrance of The Empty Space and will feature, display, and promote the work of local artists for a period of 90 days. While all artists should not limit their creativity, we ask that submissions reflect The Empty Space's mission to "Set Theatre Free" and to spread the joy of art to as many people as possible. This is a quarterly contest.
